HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER’S Paris office strengthens its position in pharmaceutical regulatory and competition law

The Paris office of HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER is reinforcing its life sciences practice with the arrival of partner Anne Servoir

Anne Servoir started her career in the competition law department of CMS-Bureau Francis Lefebvre, where she developed a practice focused on regulatory issues in various industries ranging from telecommunications to pharmaceuticals. She later joined INTUITY, a boutique life sciences firm. 

For over 20 years, Anne has assisted pharmaceutical clients with regulatory questions related to human and animal healthcare, medical devices, food supplements and cosmetics. She also advises on issues related to market access and the definition and establishment of commercial strategies. Over the years, she has acquired specific expertise in new technologies associated with the life sciences sector.

  • A new edition of the Mobile World Congress (MWC), the world’s most important event in the mobile communications industry, will be held in Barcelona from 26th to 28th of February, 2019. The Commercial Courts of Barcelona have issued for the fifth consecutive year the Intellectual Property Fast Action Protocol in the framework of the Mobile World Congress.
  • The Brussels office of HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER is pleased to be one of the founding members of the Legal Diversity & Inclusion Alliance (LDIA), a collective effort by several law firms in Belgium.
  • On 27 November 2018 the Court of Appeal of The Hague in the Netherlands reversed the first instance court’s decision, confirming the validity of AstraZeneca’s patents on their breast cancer drug Faslodex® and reinstating the earlier injunction against Sandoz in PI proceedings.
  • In the landmark Philips Nokia judgement of 1 December 2011 (joined cases C 446/09 and C 495/09) the CJEU responded to a referral by the Antwerp Court of First Instance that in the context of an infringement action it is up to the holder of the intellectual property right to demonstrate that the allegedly infringing goods are intended to be put on sale in the European Union.
  • The EUIPO has released its long awaited “Study on legislative measures related to online IPR infringements”, Carina Gommers and Stephanie Hermoye drafted the Belgian submission on civil measures.
