# Olivier Catania

Olivier is a European and French-qualified Patent Attorney and a representative before the Unified Patent Court (UPC). He joined HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER in 2025 and brings over 17 years of experience in patent law and practice.

His practice concentrates on *inter partes* proceedings, especially oppositions and appeals before the European Patent Office (EPO), drawing on experience from around 100 cases.

Before joining the firm, Olivier practiced at large international IP firms in Paris and Munich, where he led a French-speaking practice. He began his professional career as an R&D engineer specializing in optomechanics.
