# Laura Marie Amels

Laura Marie Amels advises and represents clients in various fields of intellectual property law, in particular in patent law. Her practice focuses on strategic advice and representation in complex national and cross-border patent infringement proceedings with a focus on standard essential patents and FRAND.

She studied law at University of Cologne and at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. After finishing her first state examination, she gained experience in patent law as a research assistant at a major international law firm in Düsseldorf.

During her legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court Düsseldorf, Laura Marie Amels expanded her knowledge in patent law by working for two major international law firms in Düsseldorf and Paris.
