Carina’s practice covers litigation regarding intellectual property rights, including trademarks and designs, predominantly in the sectors of consumer goods and electronics. Carina has extensive experience regarding customs counterfeit seizures and also regularly advises on matters of advertising and unfair market practices.
Carina is a Belgian editor of JIPLP, BMM Bulletin, IEForum.be and the European Patent Lawyers Association (EPLAW) Patent Blog. In addition she is a member of the ECTA anti-counterfeiting committee and the ECTA council. Since qualifying she has worked on a number of high-profile cases, representing clients including Thomas Cook, Amazon, Philips, AXA, Pfizer, Procter & Gamble and Wolters Kluwer.
