Erik is a European and Dutch Patent Attorney, and UPC representative, with a broad practice encompassing patent drafting, prosecution, counselling, and litigation support.

He studied at the University of Utrecht, obtaining a double Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Mathematics, and a double Master’s degree in Theoretical Physics and Mathematical Sciences. His studies focused primarily on high-energy physics and differential geometry. His master’s thesis was primarily directed at the relationship between certain problems in string theory and algebraic geometry.

He has diverse experience in telecommunications, semiconductor chips, lithography, networks, computer design, neural networks, and mechanical inventions, among others. Erik has assisted in numerous patent infringement proceedings and has gained experience in all stages of patent prosecution.
