HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER appoints two partners and two counsel

Top-tier European IP boutique firm HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER has promoted Michiel de Baat (Amsterdam) and Ivan Dimitrov (Düsseldorf) to the partnership and appointed Carina Höfer (Düsseldorf) and Tim Robrechts (Brussels) as counsel with the firm. The firm now has 47 partners, seven counsel and in total over 100 lawyers.

  • Michiel de Baat, Partner, Amsterdam. Michiel de Baat is a European, Dutch and Belgian Patent Attorney. His practice focuses on the mechanical engineering, medical devices, agriculture and horticulture, (offshore) oil and automotive sectors.
  • Ivan Dimitrov, Partner, Düsseldorf. Ivan Dimitrov advises and represents national and international clients in the field of intellectual property law, with a particular focus on trademarks, competition law and trade secrets. He has extensive experience in the life science, consumer electronics and consumer goods sectors, amongst others.
  • Carina Höfer, Counsel, Düsseldorf. Carina Höfer advises and represents national and international clients in national and cross-border patent infringement proceedings and participates in parallel opposition and nullity proceedings before the European Patent Office and the German Federal Patent Court. Carina also regularly advises on standard-essential patents at the interface with antitrust law (FRAND).
  • Tim Robrechts, Counsel, Brussels. Tim’s practice covers all areas of IP law, including trade secrets, unfair trade practices and customs seizures. He has a particular focus on patent litigation.
