HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER: two home-grown promotions and one lateral hire to the partnership from 1 January 2026

Hot Topic News

HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER announces the promotion of Agathe Caillé and Léon Dijkman to the partnership, effective 1 January 2026.

Both have built their reputations the hard way: by taking on complex disputes, mastering detail without losing sight of strategy, and earning the confidence of clients and teams when the pressure is real. Their promotions recognise outstanding individual performance, and the way they elevate the firm’s cross-border litigation practice: with speed, judgment and a genuinely collaborative approach across offices and jurisdictions.

At a time when IP disputes move faster and span more forums than ever, including the Unified Patent Court, Agathe and Léon bring the kind of calm competence clients feel immediately: clear options, credible risk assessment, and decisive action when it matters.

What makes them especially valued at HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER is that this professionalism comes with a very human way of working: listening, clarity, and the steadiness that keeps teams aligned and clients supported.

Agathe’s view of disputes is disarmingly simple: “conflict isn’t a failure; it’s a signal.“ Léon pairs courtroom instinct with perspective, a reminder that the “law on the page is only part of what decides cases.“ And in a crisis, both share the same message: “we have your back.“

“Agathe and Léon bring energy, judgment and heart, the mix clients need in high-stakes situations and teams rely on when deadlines collide. They don’t lecture; they listen, then build solutions with clients and colleagues.” says Benoit Strowel, Managing Partner.

As previously announced, C. Thomas Becher, European Patent Attorney, has also joined the partnership on 1 January 2026, strengthening our capabilities in EPO opposition and appeal proceedings. Meet Thomas too, as he shares a fresh, personal perspective on EPO proceedings and how they align with court litigation, including before the UPC.
