Marijn Bekkenk practices in all areas of intellectual property law.

In 2025, Marijn graduated cum laude from the University of Amsterdam with a Master’s Degree in Information Law (IViR), where he specialised in Intellectual Property law. His Master’s thesis examined the intersection of private international law and intellectual property law, evaluating the EU jurisdiction framework applicable to online trademark infringement.

During the course of his studies, Marijn was active at the Leiden Legal Aid Center (Leidse Rechtswinkel) as Head of his section, providing legal advice on immigration law matters. He also gained practical experience as a working student in the intellectual property sections of several law firms. In 2025, he successfully completed a semester at Fordham University (New York), participating in the LL.M. Program in Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law.

Before starting his law career, Marijn was active in the film industry.
