Fatoumata Kébé #BreakTheBias – IWD 2022

In the run-up to International Women’s Day, we will be contributing to the dissemination of knowledge about women that have broken the bias by achieving outstanding accomplishments in their respective fields, by updating and translating into our local languages the Wikipedia pages of five exceptional women, each representing one of the countries we are present in.

Our French offices have nominated Fatoumata Kébé.

Fatoumata Kébé is a French astrophysicist who focused her research on space debris. Her degree in fluid mechanics also nourished an entrepreneurial project to develop a smart and solar-powered irrigation system for farmers in Mali. She is also a strong advocate for women’s rights and works with several organizations to promote astronomy and scientific careers among young students.
