Theo Blomme heeft in het rechtsgebiedenregister van de Nederlandse orde van advocaten het rechtsgebied Intellectueel eigendomsrecht als hoofdrechtsgebied geregistreerd. Op grond van deze registratie is hij verplicht elk kalenderjaar volgens de normen van de Nederlandse orde van advocaten tien opleidingspunten te behalen op dit hoofdrechtsgebied.

- Apple v. Ericsson. De verdediging van Apple met betrekking tot de vermeende inbreuk op een groot aantal standaard- en niet-standaard essentiële octrooien van Ericsson.
- Hanwha Solutions Corporation v. LONGi Solar. Het bijstaand van Hanwha in een inbreukprocedure met betrekking tot zonneceltechnologie, waarbij een grensoverschrijdend verbod in Nederland werd verkregen ofschoon het gehandhaafde Europese octrooi geen Nederlands deel had.
- InterMune Inc. v. Teva and Sandoz. Het bijstaan van InterMune (Roche) in 4 verschillende nietigheidsprocedures (per generiek) met betrekking tot octrooien op het blockbuster medicijn Esbriet.
- AstraZeneca v. Sandoz. Het bijstaan van AstraZeneca met betrekking tot de inbreuk op haar octrooien op het borstkanker medicijn Faslodex, waarbij de octrooien in hoger beroep geldig zijn bevonden en aan gedaagde een permanent inbreukverbod werd opgelegd.
- ASML v. Nikon. De verdediging van ASML ten aanzien van de vermeende inbreuk op 12 verschillende octrooien met betrekking op immersielithografie. Na winst in de eerste serie procedures is een schikking tot stand gekomen.
- DSM v. Novozymes. Het bijstaan van DSM in een inbreukprocedure met betrekking tot DSM’s octrooi op lactase technologie voor zuivelproducten, waarbij aan gedaagde een grensoverschrijdend voorlopig inbreukverbod werd opgelegd (welk verbod later is opgeheven nadat het octrooi is herroepen door het EOB).
- Apple v. Samsung. Het bijstaan van Apple in een mondiaal dispuut met Samsung met betrekking tot geoctrooieerde technologie op het gebied van de user interface en het operating system van smartphones en tablet computers, resulterend in een inbreukverbod in kort geding ten aanzien van diverse smartphones. De succesvolle verdediging van Apple tegen drie van vier van Samsungs standaard essentiële octrooien over UMTS (3G) technologie, waarbij een grensverleggende beslissing werd verkregen waarin Apples FRAND-verweer werd gehonoreerd en Samsungs verbodsvorderingen werden afgewezen.
- LEO Pharma v. Sandoz. De verdediging van LEO Pharma in hoger beroep met betrekking tot de inbreuk op haar octrooi op een combinatiemedicijn voor de behandeling van psoriasis.
- FUJIFILM v. Agfa. De verdediging van FUJIFILM met betrekking tot de beweerdelijke inbreuk op en geldigheid van 4 octrooien met betrekking tot printplaattechnologie. Schikking na afwijzing van Agfa’s vordering tot een voorlopig inbreukverbod.
- AstraZeneca v. Teva. De verdediging van AstraZeneca in een nietigheidsprocedure met betrekking tot AZ’s octrooi op de Symbicort SMART astma inhaler.
- DSM v. Cargill. De verdediging van DSM in twee nietigheids-procedures met betrekking tot DSM’s octrooien op een microbiële olie met meervoudig onverzadigde vetzuren.
- Ajinomoto Corporation v. Global Biochem Technology. Het bijstaan van Ajinomoto met betrekking tot de inbreuk op en de geldigheid van drie van Ajinomoto’s biotechnologische octrooien op het gebied van genetisch gemodificeerde microorganismen om het aminozuur L-lysine te produceren.
- H. Lundbeck v. Tiefenbacher and Ratiopharm. De verdediging van Lundbeck in een nietigheidsprocedure met betrekking tot haar escitalopram octrooi.
